Member Benefits

Membership

Membership is granted to individuals and family members who meet all the requirements listed in the constitution, and it is non-transferable. All donations received by the Temple where no service was provided in return, are considered while granting membership.

Eligibility Criteria

(includes accumulated amount as mentioned above)

• Donors with $500 are eligible for individual membership.
• Donors with $1000 and above are eligible for individual and spouse membership.

Note: For Donors with individual memberships, once their cumulative contribution attains $1000 (or more), they become eligible for the individual plus spouse membership.

Basic Benefits

• Vote during the General Body meeting(s) or Elections conducted by the organization.
• Stand for election to the Board of Trustees.
• Be a member of the Executive Committee, take part in various volunteering activities and make a difference in the community and in temple operations.
• Avail other privileges as applicable per the constitution, Policies and Procedures.

Recognition

Cumulative donations from members over the years determine the following levels of recognition. Additional benefits may accrue as the donor transitions through the various recognition levels.

Members of all the above donor levels will be recognized in a plaque in the temple commensurate to the level of recognition. Reasonable accommodations will be made to display name in the plaque to meet donor preference.

Donors and above can request for complementary Archana tickets any time during their visit to temple.

Major Contributions $500+

All contributions of $500 or more will be recognized by formal letter from the temple acknowledging the donation. If the recent contribution resulted in a change in recognition level, the letter will contain additional information about it.

We will mail up to 4 complementary Archana tickets with the letter.

Corporate Matching

Several companies in Washington are eager to support the temple and your commitment to the HTCC. Many employers offer corporate matching programs, where your donation to the temple is matched dollar for dollar, effectively doubling your impact.

In addition, some companies allow employees to convert volunteer hours into monetary donations, further supporting the temple’s mission and activities.

If you are employed by a corporate organization, we encourage you to check with your HR or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team to learn about the matching gift or volunteer grant options available through your company. Your participation can make a meaningful difference.

Important Note:

All benefits are subject to member remaining in good standing as per constitution. The privileges shall automatically be withdrawn if membership in the Organization is removed for any reason, whatsoever. As per constitution non-individual members such as corporations, organizations, trusts and groups shall not have any privileges except for Recognition Plaque on Premises. Privileges may be exercised in accordance with policies set by the Board of Trustees.
